PayPal and Venmo have been flagging and freezing transactions with certain keywords in the description, pushing users to start using Bitcoin. Following an issue by Jewish Currents magazine, which discovered its paychecks to staff were being held by PayPal because the word “Iran” was included in the description, it has emerged that certain words are being flagged by the payments company — something that is not seen when using Bitcoin. Investment management firm VanEck suggests that institutional investors should allocate a small percentage of their capital into Bitcoin. Per the report, Bitcoin may enhance the risk and return reward profile of institutional investment portfolios. Among all the portfolios considered by VanEck, the highest return was the one which had 3% in Bitcoin.
