HTC's new Exodus 1s can run a full Bitcoin node

HTC's latest crypto-enabled smartphone model will offer at least one useful improved feature, as reported by CoinDesk. The Exodus 1s will offer users the opportunity to run a full node on the Bitcoin blockchain.

HTC's upcoming Exodus 1 is the biggest step forward so far for crypto integration in mobile devices. It features a built-in crypto wallet, as well as coming with decentralized software Brave as its default internet browser.

The Exodus 1s will be a more affordable version, retailing between $250 and $300. As well as software development kit for its Zion Vault crypto storage solution, it will allow Bitcoin enthusiasts enough space and processing power to download the whole Bitcoin blockchain and operate a full node for the network.

According to HTC's chief officer of decentralized technology Phil Chen, "The bitcoin blockchain is about 200 (gigabytes), and it’s growing about 60 gigs per year. And those numbers are reasonable to hold on a smartphone. Imagine the iPod with 256 gigs … of course the music fan wants to keep the whole music library but the crypto fan wants to keep the whole bitcoin blockchain...(You can) be a part of the bitcoin revolution by contributing to the security of the whole network".
